Bilingual School:
ESD is the only English-Spanish and French-Spanish bilingual school in the Dominican Republic. Our school year begins in early September and runs until the end of June. We close for three weeks at Christmas, and for one week at Easter.
European Curricula:
Our teachers follow English, Spanish and French school curricula, and we only use English, Spanish and French textbooks. School uniform (t-shirts) are worn by all students.
Daily Program:
The school day begins at 8:15AM and ends at 3:00PM. There are seven periods, two 20-minute recesses and a 45-minute lunch break. A morning snack and a daily hot lunch are offered. ESD provides daily transportation from Sosua with stops at Sea Horse Ranch, Perla Marina, Encuentro, Kite Beach, el Callejón and ProCab. We also offer an after-school program.
Official Transcripts:
ESD provides internationally recognized official academic transcripts for transfer to any school in the world.
Tuition and Tuition Assistance:
Tuition varies according to grade. Email us to request the current tuition for the grade your child will be joining. Incentives are offered when siblings attend ESD together, and there are discounts for paying early.
ESD Foundation and Scholarships:
ESD believes in encouraging and guiding local ‘bright stars’ who would not otherwise be able to access premium education, by offering up to ten percent of places, across all grades, to local disadvantaged children.
