GENERAL & LANGUAGE
We are a bilingual school which, utilizing European curricula, focuses on academic excellence. We use modern methodologies with a constructivist approach, awakening the interest and curiosity of children to develop their autonomy, empathy and critical thinking.
The location is in Camino del Sol, in East Cabarete, in front of Carambola’s surf house, 3.5 km east of Cabarete centro.
We have a private school bus that runs each morning from Sosúa to Cabarete, and back again in the afternoon.
We have a maximum of 14 children per class.
Yes, we do sometimes split grades in one class, but we never exceed the above per-class maximum.
The fact that they are young children and that the classes allow 100% language immersion guarantee fast and natural learning. You can also count on the support and skills of our teachers to help the children progress. As well, we have a special program, included in the schedule, to help the children progress in the foreign language of their choice. We can also arrange to teach parents French, English or Spanish – contact us for details.
Yes, two hours of foreign language and two hours of physical education per week, in addition to local sports, are included in the schedule.
There are two options :
a) We provide official transcript/certification from the US, thanks to our partnership with Rocklin International Schools. The cost is 200 USD per year requested, plus a one-time administration payment of $100 USD.
b) CNED is for parents to register for French national distance education. This optional service costs 600 euros per year per child and provides parents with a French state certificate, as if the children were in France. The other condition to obtain such a certificate is that the child is studying French, Math and Social Studies in French and Spanish.
SCHEDULE & ACTIVITIES
Mathematics, language literacy in Spanish, literacy in French or English, social studies, foreign language, sports, yoga and special projects (journalism, gardening, art, etc).
The school year runs from September to June.
We follow the Dominican school calendar regarding holidays. Children have one week of holidays at Easter and three weeks at Christmas.
The school day starts at 8:15 am and ends at 3:00 pm. The office is open 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Note that the DR is in Atlantic Standard Time (GMT-4) year-round.
Each is 20 minutes. Weather dependent, they usually take place in the playground or at the beach, under the supervision of the teachers.
Yes, it includes lunch and lunch time care by our school staff. It’s included in the total cost of the tuition.
At school we celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Carnival, Valentine’s, April Fool’s, Mother’s and Father’s Day, etc.
And we take the kids on excursions several times each year.
Of course! We have great activities including: dance, music, languages, theater, art, etc.
Just let us know and we can form groups of students and make that possible!
Yes, in the school year 2023-24 the student can enroll in the Homework Club from 3:15 pm until 4:15 pm. Note that your child must be signed out each day, and must be registered prior to use: drop-ins are not permitted.

FACULTY
We are a very unified team. All of our teachers are native speakers of the language of instruction. Highly qualified (Masters level) and with international teaching experience. Our teachers come from all over the world, they are certified and can speak several languages. But most importantly, they are passionate about education and the kids love them!
The Directors are also two teachers: Kathy Reynaud (from the French Ministry of Education) and Isaac Trujillo (language teacher from Venezuela), and the coordinator is Pablo Ramos, also a school psychologist.
TUITION
The annual administrative fee is $350 USD per child. However, this fee is waived if you register your children before May 20th.
It depends on the number of payments: 1 payment, 2 payments, or 10 payments. It also depends on which grade your child is in.
No, not unless you register your child for summer camp.
Yes, we offer preferential rates for siblings and for returning students (Legacy Families). We also reward referrals. Contact us for details.
